Hardship is not content. We will not publish a family’s name, child’s photo, or medical story to raise money. That is a line, not a slogan.
How a request moves
Someone writes admin@htcharityfoundation.org — the household, a coworker, a faith community, or a neighbor. We ask only what we need to understand the gap: food, rent delay, school supplies, a one-time household bill. We do not run a call-center drama.
Help is case by case. A small public charity cannot be an emergency department for the entire South Bay. We can be a serious neighbor: groceries, kits, a referral, a volunteer afternoon.
What donors fund
Unrestricted gifts let us meet the next verified need. Restricted gifts are honored when we can do so without stranding money in a category that is quiet that month. If we cannot use a restriction well, we will say so before we accept it.
If you are in San Jose and need help, you do not have to perform gratitude on the internet. Email is enough.
